In addition to our publishing packages, we also offer the following services:
Hardback Books ($250): Once you have purchased a CrossHouse publishing package, you may be interested in having your book available in hardback as well as paperback. We can do that! With this add-on service, we provide the ISBN, cover design, and distribution services for your hardback book.
Post-Publishing Revisions ($125): After your book goes to print, you may decide that you want to revise the interior or cover text. After all, once the book is in print, you may receive additional endorsements, or you might need to update your website information or make other corrections. The best time to make revisions is with a book order. If you request revisions at the same time that you place an order for 250+ copies of your book, we will waive the revision fee altogether. If you do not need more inventory but would still like to make revisions, we charge $125 for unlimited interior text corrections and $125 for unlimited cover text corrections. Any revision, regardless of how minor, will require that the book be taken out of print for approximately five to seven business days.
Typesetting (.5 cents/word): Does your book need to be put into electronic format? Our typist will be happy to assist you. This service typically requires 30 days.
Mechanical Editing (1.5 cents/word): Mechanical editing is included at no extra charge in our Legacy, Launch, and Limelight Packages. For only 1.5 cents per word, it is also available to our Light and Liaison customers. We will assign two editors to review your manuscript per our mechanical editing specifications.
Substantive Editing (3 cents/word): Are you looking for an editor to go beyond mechanical editing and address issues with sentence structure, more complex grammatical issues, and general readability? If so, you’ll want to take advantage of our substantive editing service. You’ll be assigned an experienced editor who will work closely with you to make your book the best it can possibly be.
Spanish Publishing (price varies): Want your book published in Spanish? Our new Casa de la Cruz imprint may be right for you. Contact us for additional information and pricing.
Ghost Publishing (price varies): Want to use your own logo and ISBN instead of ours? Your book can appear to be published by your own publishing company and/or printing press—without you having to do all of the work associated with actually operating your own publishing company! Contact us for more details.
